Sunday’s Milan Cortina Olympics Presentation Averages 42 Million Viewers, Marking Largest Winter Games Audience Since Day 2 of 2014 Sochi Olympics

NEW YORK — Feb. 10, 2026 — Super Bowl LX didn’t just crown a champion — it rewrote the record books. NBC Sports’ presentation of the Seattle Seahawks’ 29–13 victory over the New England Patriots delivered one of the largest audiences in U.S. media history, fueled by massive cross‑platform viewership, a globally dominant halftime show, and a powerful lead‑into NBCUniversal’s Milan Cortina Winter Olympics coverage.

A Peak Audience Never Seen Before

Super Bowl LX reached a staggering 137.8 million viewers during the second quarter — the highest peak viewership ever recorded for a U.S. television broadcast. The game averaged 124.9 million viewers across NBC, Peacock, Telemundo, NBC Sports Digital, and NFL+, making it the second most‑watched program in American history, trailing only Super Bowl LIX in 2025.

The milestone also marks the most‑watched broadcast in NBC’s 100‑year history, a fitting achievement as the network celebrates its centennial.

NBC Sports President Rick Cordella praised the achievement, noting that the Super Bowl and the Olympics remain “the two most powerful events in the world,” and credited the network’s production and technical teams for delivering a seamless, high‑impact presentation.

Telemundo Sets a New Standard for Spanish‑Language NFL Coverage

Telemundo delivered the largest Spanish‑language Super Bowl audience ever, averaging 3.3 million viewers and peaking at 4.8 million during halftime. It now holds the record for the most‑watched Spanish‑language Super Bowl halftime show in U.S. history.

Bad Bunny’s Halftime Show Breaks Every NFL Social Record

The Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show, headlined by global superstar Bad Bunny, became the most‑consumed halftime performance in NFL history.

4 billion social views in 24 hours — a +137% jump year‑over‑year

Over 55% of views came from international markets

The three most‑viewed NFL social posts ever now come from this halftime show

Clips featuring Bad Bunny listing countries before spiking a football dominated Instagram and TikTok, with individual videos reaching 100–179 million views and accumulating decades’ worth of watch time.

The impact extended to Apple Music, where Bad Bunny’s streams surged sevenfold immediately after the show. His setlist playlist became the platform’s most‑played, and his album DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS charted in 155 countries, hitting No. 1 in 46 of them.

Olympics Coverage Rides the Wave

Following the Lombardi Trophy presentation, NBC’s Primetime in Milan broadcast averaged 42 million viewers, marking the largest Winter Olympics audience since 2014. The broadcast featured standout moments including Lindsey Vonn’s downhill run and Team USA’s gold‑medal performance in team figure skating.

The strong lead‑in helped Peacock achieve its best day ever, driven by Super Bowl streaming and the debut of The Burbs, which became the platform’s highest Day 1 original premiere.

A Massive Win for Advertisers

NBCUniversal reported significant gains for brands advertising during Super Bowl LX, including:

+33% lift in brand recall

+31% lift in brand opinion

With NFL programming accounting for 86 of the top 100 U.S. broadcasts in 2025, the league continues to dominate the entertainment landscape — and Super Bowl LX only solidified that position.
