Orlando, Florida -- November 27, 2025 -- Stuffed with Gratitude, Wrapped in Snow: The More the Merrier Ushers in Hallmark’s Holiday Season.

Thanksgiving Day leaves us full—stuffed from roasted turkey, laughter around the family table, and the glow of gratitude that lingers long after dessert. Yet as the final plates are cleared, another tradition begins: the twinkle of Christmas lights, wreaths hung on doors, and the promise of stories that remind us why the season matters.

This year, Hallmark Channel launches its Thanksgiving weekend with the premiere of The More the Merrier, a snow-filled drama that blends heart, humor, and holiday spirit. Chris and Will previewed the film, and we found ourselves swept into a story that mirrors the very essence of the season: finding joy, even in the most unexpected conditions. Even on a snowed-in Christmas Eve.

Alice (Rachel Boston), a devoted emergency room doctor at a rural hospital, has made it her tradition to work the Christmas Eve overnight shift. She ensures patients and staff feel the magic of the holiday—even when circumstances are far from ideal. But when a blizzard blankets the town, Alice and Brian (Brendan Penny), a newly hired cardiologist, face a night unlike any other.

Three women go into labor on the rarest birthday of the year, and with the only OBGYN snowed in alongside them, the hospital transforms into a hub of miracles. As Alice and Brian team up to deliver these bundles of joy, they also discover sparks of connection between themselves. By dawn, it’s clear this Christmas Eve has changed them both forever. It's more than medicine, more than merriment.

From the first snowflake to the final plow, The More the Merrier reminds us that Christmas is not about perfection—it’s about presence. It’s about giving love, sharing strength, and bringing happiness to others, even when the world outside feels uncertain.

Our reflection of the film was overall warm. There are different types of people in our world, especially in the medical field, and it’s soothing to know that it only takes one of us to bring together just the tiniest notion of spirit to fill the air. Love and happiness are wreaths around our aura of human nature. These words echo the film’s non-traditional approach: a holiday story that educates as much as it entertains, reminding us that selflessness is the true gift of the season. Giving the film a five-star start to the countdown.

As Thanksgiving fades into memory and Christmas decorations sparkle across neighborhoods, The More the Merrier offers a heartfelt way to reignite your spirit. It’s a film that brings families together, rekindles traditions, and sets the tone for Hallmark’s continued countdown to Christmas.

Catch the premiere on Hallmark Channel, November 28, with streaming available the next day on Hallmark+.
