Ellie Marks and Paul Schulte have been chosen as the flag bearers for Team USA's for the Paralympics' closing Ceremony.

For the first time, Chris and Will have been broadcasting the Paralympic Games. As the event draws to a close, they are delighted to announce the flag bearers for Team USA. Ellie Marks, a three-time Paralympian, and Paul Schulte, a four-time Paralympian, have been chosen to lead the U.S. Paralympic Team into the Closing Ceremony as flag bearers. This ceremony will take place on Sunday, Sept. 8, at the Stade de France, starting at 8:30 p.m. Paris time (2:30 p.m. EDT). Marks and Schulte are the first pair to jointly receive the honor of leading the delegation in the Closing Ceremony, marking the official conclusion of the Paralympic Games.


Marks has increased her career total to nine medals, securing four silver medals in Paris, in the 50m Freestyle S6, 200m Individual Medley SM6, 4x50m Freestyle Relay 20 Points, and the 4x50m Medley Relay 20 Points – Mixed. Her final event at Paris 2024 is the 100m Backstroke S6, scheduled for Saturday. Schulte, competing in his first Paralympic Games since 2012, has become a four-time Paralympian in Paris. The U.S. team, after victories against Spain, the Netherlands, Australia, France, and Canada, is poised to compete against Great Britain for the gold medal at 9:30 p.m. local time on Saturday. A victory will secure Team USA its third consecutive gold medal.
